Lin has been in the engraving business for 45 years; if you are local to the area and been awarded with a personal plaque or a trophy, there's a good chance she put your name on it.
Last week, we had the opportunity to visit Lin at her storefront, where she's been settling into her upstairs location for a little over a year. Now the 5th owner of the Gumbarts name, Lin continues to build upon the rich history of a locally-owned business on the historic downtown square. What started out as a sporting goods store has evolved over the last hundred years to what you see now: a general engraving business featuring trophies, plaques, and other personalized items. We got an overview of all the products she creates in house, and how she partners with other vendors in the area. Team members even had the opportunity to try their hand at the engraving machine. Lin encouraged them to "do a job that you enjoy every day" - providing a first-hand example in her passion for her work!
