If you see missed opportunities, you might be an entrepreneur.

Today we learned there isn't just one definition of an entrepreneur - there are all kinds of personalities and traits that can lead to entrepreneurship.

We began with some discussion outside of Midwest Control Products, led by President Mark Rauschert. Mark wanted to hear about all the students' business ideas - which led to more questions, ideas, and troubleshooting.

Then we toured the downtown Bushnell plant. We saw evidence of constant innovation and change. And, surprise! We also saw a CEO alum, in the wild! Wesley McEwen (CEO Class of 2024) is now working at Midwest full time. He showed us several of their 3D print projects that he is overseeing. Looks like his personal business in CEO gave him a head start for this path!

We wrapped up with more discussion about some common characteristics of entrepreneurs. We were left with this statement: "You have to be half crazy to be an entrepreneur!" So - what do you think? Is that true? Stay with us this year to find out!
