“There’s opportunity everywhere, but ultimately you’ve got to find something that feeds your soul.”

Anne Ingersoll is someone who sees opportunity everywhere. After moving to Macomb and putting down roots, she decided she wanted to do something more in the community.

Bloom Macomb opened its doors back in December, after finishing 2nd place in the Small Business Competition last year. Anne shared with us her journey, her purpose, and her mission to “Plant Kindness, Grow Love”. She loves supporting local creators and growers, offering high-quality products you can’t get anywhere else, and recycling anything she can.

After showing us around, Anne led the students in an exercise of looking for opportunities in the community - by using the local newspaper. Anne has a heart for helping young people learn and grow, and we are grateful for her time and dedication this morning.
